The Period Dilemna

THE PERIOD DILEMNAS
This blog post is going to talk about the various issues that usually seem to be over- looked by the majority of people.
I know when I get cramps, I right away stock up on either tampons or pads for that monthly "party of pain" (depending on what's nearest to the checkout at the supermarket), so I can run home as fast as possible. However, during those few days of menstruation you also feel relieved, whether it's due to the fact that you know you won't have it again until next month, or you might be proud that you're going through that womanly procedure. However, on the downside, having your period does cause your hormones to go a little out of control; causing mood swings, insecurities, odd cravings of food... But, what's important to remember is it's in no way an excuse for men or women to use the:"Oh, it's that time of the month again" to answer for every abnormal behavior. Sometimes, we girls may not even be on our period and people will just assume that we are, when in fact something very real may be bothering us that actually has nothing to do with being on our period! A woman is allowed to have her own strong opinions and to feel all emotions, and even if it contradicts with your opinion and she might seem grumpy, that doesn't necessarily mean it's simply because she's menstruating. Also, for all you girls out there that use this as your excuse for getting out of responsibilities, please try to refrain from doing that, because you're only degrading yourself and women around the world!!

Tamps by  Leanne Rayo

PADS VS TAMPONS

Now that I've gotten that out of my system another issue I would like to discuss is the pressure of using pads or tampons! However, there shouldn't be any type of pressure! They are both perfectly fine  utensils!  The constant arguments about which of the two products is "better" is irrelevant; we as women should be permitted to simply choose which product is more comfortable for us, especially since it's such a delicate and personal process! I myself have gotten into arguments with my friends about using pads or tampons, and it was horrible.. It's such a personal matter and sometimes it can even be a struggle with insecurities to decide, so people should really just respect someone else's choice!! Whether you use a tampon or a pad; whether you "free bleed" or use menstrual cups, it's your decision what is more comfortable for your "flow" to flush out of your body in the most efficient, relieving way of choice.

Name Game Change$

                                        6/29/14
When starting out this blog Stella and I really had no clue what to call it ..
We have been through numerous of blog names and I think we have found the one and I would like to explain it to our readers.
                   -----------------------
Our Blog Name ^

So what does Oblivious Limbo mean??

- Oblivious is what you would use to describe most of the teenage population.
Translation: Some adults think that the teenage population is really just not thinking and that we are blind sided, so we thought it was a cool twist to put in our name.
---------------------------

- Limbo. The second definition of Limbo is what we are using.
Translation :The state in which you are not a child but not a adult and stuck in the middle waiting to see what life brings you.

Outfits of the day

                                               6/25/14
So today I was hanging out with my friend Samantha and we were looking super cute so I decided to do a outfit of the day post .So here are our outfits of the day.

                         SAMANTHA
let us start with the booty

Samantha's Outfit :
Black & White Top: Urban Outfitter's
Black High Waisted Shorts :American Apparel
Ruffle Socks: Target
Doc Martens's: Black Mary Janes
-----------------------------
Okay, so what I love about Samantha's outfit is that first off it's super cute and really expresses her style. Secondly, it works perfectly for this weather we got going on in LA (which is on a average of  80 degrees). This outfit contains all dark colors but works in a way where she pairs a cute flimsy  top with some high waisted shorts to keep cool. She then pulls the whole outfit together with her fabulous ruffle socks and docs. Cant forget about that Hello Kitty band aid that gives a pop of color haha, accessorize!
-------------------------------------

KYRSTAL

Kyrstal's Outfit:
Black Long Sleeve Crop Top : American Apparel
Dark Blue Pleated Skirt: Dennis Uniform Store
Converses: Off White High Tops
-------------------------
What I like about Kyrstal's Outfit is that it really works for a day out on the town or just hanging out at home. The pleated skirt is really  light and loose  but looks really put together when you add the tight black crop top. The touch of color would be her kicks, that works perfectly to keep this outfit causal and fun .

LEANNE

Don't worry you see my shorts *smirk *

thanking god for these cute a** shoes
                       Leanne's Outfit:
Black Knit Mini Dress: Brandy Melville
Blue Levi's High Waisted shorts (not visible): Crossroad's Trading Post
Grey Socks : Samantha's Closet
Glitter Jellies : ASOS
---------------------------------
If I had a title for this Outfit it would be "Back to Basic". Why? First off it's really basic aha.  I start off with the amazing black knit mini dress thats actually really light and SOFT. To be age appropriate I put some  basic Levi's high waisted shorts under since the dress is a bit see through. I flopped on my beautiful new babies (my jellies) with some basic grey knee high socks that i scrunched down.

Confession of A Reluctant Teenager

                                                        6/15/14
Hi I'm Stella and I'm one of the cofounders on this blog. I'm going to be concentrating more on writing about  regular teenage life rather than talking
about fashion, which is more Leanne's department.  What I have to say may not be anything revolutionary, but very relatable. I want to explain to you and to all the peers of this website what it actually means to be a teenager. None of that cheesy stuff but more of what you don't understand; or don't remember because you "become an adult". I don't want us to play the victim or don't want to make us seem feel sorry for ourselves but I do want to make it clear that most of the time where MISUNDERSTOOD  or looked upon as immature when actually we're just going through the pre-phases of dealing with things because we haven't yet developed other ways to comprehend the problems or issues that come upon us. I I capitalized the word misunderstood because many of the times we are; or we see ourselves in that way. However a lot of the time it's not just us that are misunderstood, we may misunderstand adults. The more I  think about it, it's just a big thing of miscommunication, between what seems like a line that divides adults and teenagers when actually the only thing segregating us into categories is all a matter of age. Although I do agree that adults may have more experiences which make them possibly more "educated in life", that isn't always the case. This is a new generation and we are very educated and have learned the mistakes of our previous generation; we've heard stories, seen movies, and read books! So we also deserve to have the chance of proving new discoveries, or even experiencing these "oh so daring" experiences, even though they may seem stupid or immature because the "mature adults" have already done it! My main point is that we shouldn't be contradicted always for every little thing we do that isn't considered responsible or cultivated by the almighty opinions of our peers! So please remember peers, there's a fine line between grown ups and adolescences. And for the record it's not all that bad being a teenager we get to experience things first hand which is an important part of self teaching ourselves boundaries and what's right and wrong for future reference. Children, teenagers; they do need guidance at times, but all the same they should be trusted to make certain decisions on their own and they shouldn't be degraded to stereo typical labels like irresponsible, immature, dumb ,or stupid teenager unless there is an absolute justified reason! This just irritates me so much because we are often labeled this without actually seeing the full picture or without analyzing it from different perspectives. Please everyone be sure to reevaluate yourselves before commenting this with no regard of what you're actually talking to you or what you're talking about.
